I LOVE CHINA

China on Monday began a three-day national mourning for the tens of thousands of people killed in a powerful earthquake which struck the country's southwest on May 12.

At 4:58 am, the national flag at the Tian'anmen Square in downtown Beijing flew at half-mast after a complete flag-raising ceremony.

The clock on a tower which stopped at 2:28 pm, the time of a massive 8.0-magnitude earthquake, is seen at sunset in the township of Hanwang in Mianzhu city north of Chengdu in Sichuan Province May 18, 2008. The death toll rose to 32,476 by 2:00pm Sunday

TORCH RELAY SUSPENSION

The Beijing Olympic torch relay Ningbo Organizing Committee also announced Sunday that the torch relay would be put off for three days until May 22.
